Ceramics dielectric and hardness properties make it ideal for use within safety critical applications where electricity may be present. Its dielectric capabilities allow it to be non-conductive, anti-static and able to hold off extremely large voltages and currents. Its hardness also allows it to be tough but importantly it can be made super sharp and maintain that sharpness for longer periods compared to metallic equivalents.
The Ceramic knife is made from a non-conductive / magnetic plastic polymer and holds a pure ceramic blade the same size as a ‘Stanley’ knife blade. The knife is rated to be suitable for use up to 1000v. The knife also has a novel swing blade protector that covers the blade in storage or handling and swings back into the handle when in use.
The Ceramic Scalpel is also made from a non-metallic/ magnetic plastic polymer and holds a replaceable pure ceramic scalpel blade. Additional blades are available separately. The scalpel also has a plastic lid which protects the blade in storage and handling. This tool is ideal for delicate cutting work where non-conduction is critical to the application.
Ceramic Tweezers are available in two model variants with either straight or curved tips. They are ideal for delicate work with electronic components or areas where non-conduction, anti static and anti magnetic properties and heat resistance are paramount.
